Band of Horses, "The Funeral"
By Michael J.W. Stickings
Here's Band of Horses performing "The Funeral," perhaps their finest song, at Easy Street Records in Seattle on October 8, 2007. The video, if you're interested, is here.
They're sometimes a bit too alt-country for me, but, overall, their two albums to date, Everything All the Time and Cease to Begin, are solid indie rock efforts, with lead singer Ben Bridwell sounding a lot like Supertramp's Roger Hodgson (but with music, thankfully, that is much edgier than Supertramp's).
Check them out at Wikipedia and at their official site.
