Dennis Kucinich to be Fox News contributor

By Richard K. Barry

If I had any hair, I would not
want it to look like that.

AP is reporting that noted liberal Dennis Kucinich has signed with Fox News to be a regular contributor:

Kucinich, a presidential candidate in 2004 and 2008 who ended 16 years in Congress two weeks ago, will make his debut as a Fox contributor on Thursday's edition of "The O'Reilly Factor," the network said Wednesday.

Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes has been going around saying nice things about Kucinich, the kind of things employers typically say about those they have recently hired, things like that he has always been impressed with Kucinich's "fearlessness and thoughtfulness" and his "willingness to take a stand from his point of view."

One of the things about Fox News is that they typically bring on token liberals who also happen to be blithering idiots, which I don't think is the case with Kucinch, though they may deem his relatively radical views as easy pickings for their stable of right-wing attack dogs and dogettes.

I'm not quite sure what they are up to, since serious debate has never really been their thing. For his part, Kuchinich has said that it is "almost silly" to think he'll be a kind of token, adding that he is way past that in his life and career.

Is it possible they really are worried that their market share could be endangered by their consistently one-sided views on everything? Nah.
