Palin tells Romney and Ryan to "go rogue"

By Michael J.W. Stickings

In a statement to The Weekly Standard, her original cheerleading corps, Sarah Palin dispensed some advice for Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan:

With so much at stake in this election, both Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan should "go rogue" and not hold back from telling the American people the true state of our economy and national security. They need to continue to find ways to break through the filter of the liberal media to communicate their message of reform.

Ah, yes, go rogue and, while you're at it, blame the media.

Which translates as, ramp up the right-wing propaganda, speak only through Republican outlets like Fox News and Rush Limbaugh, and avoid Katie Couric like the plague.

It worked in '08, didn't it? What could possibly go wrong?

  • I sprayed coffee on the morning paper when I read that. Rogue indeed. The perfect word to make civilization's discontents feel like they have an option and of course it means absolutely nothing. It's not like she or any of the other equine hindquarters have been exercising any kind of restraint whatever that they can now dispense with.

Indeed they actually should tell the true state of the economy instead of lying and fabricating and all the hyperbolic hysteria. Remember how she and McCain "went rogue" and told us that the market fundamentals were rock solid as the ground was already starting to shake from the collapse?

Yes, tell the truth that you people ruined everything and yet are still selling the same snake oil that poisoned America as a cure.
