Open the window, sweep out the cobwebs

By Michael J.W. Stickings

Is Mitt Romney really so out-of-touch, so divorced from reality, so utterly clueless that he thinks it would be a good idea to be able to open windows in an airplane? You know, while it's up in the air?

Yes, apparently so.

**********

Here's the quote, in response to his wife's plane having had to land because of smoke in the cabin:

When you have a fire in an aircraft, there's no place to go, exactly. And you can't find any oxygen from outside the aircraft to get in the aircraft, because the windows don't open. I don't know why they don't do that. It's a real problem.

Um... air pressure? You know, because the cabin is pressurized?

Then again, science has such a liberal bias. Maybe he's right.
