Is Mitt Romney really so out-of-touch, so divorced from reality, so utterly clueless that he thinks it would be a good idea to be able to open windows in an airplane? You know, while it's up in the air?
Yes, apparently so.

Here's the quote, in response to his wife's plane having had to land because of smoke in the cabin:
Um... air pressure? You know, because the cabin is pressurized?
Then again, science has such a liberal bias. Maybe he's right.

When you have a fire in an aircraft, there's no place to go, exactly. And you can't find any oxygen from outside the aircraft to get in the aircraft, because the windows don't open. I don't know why they don't do that. It's a real problem.
