Rick Santorum, mathematician

Via twitter:

Rick Santorum, abstract mathematician, to Wolf Blitzer: "Our numbers are very different than yours."

-- Molly Ball (@mollyesque)

Let's play a game. To what was Rick referring?

a) How condoms actually have a 73% fail rate.

b) How 110% of Americans oppose Obamacare.

c) How Ann Romney drives more than two Cadillacs.

d) How Newt has had more wives than he's been letting on.

e) How Kant was totally wrong about the epistemologically a priori nature of mathematics.

f) How he's still got a good shot at winning the most delegates to the Republican convention this summer, given how many uncommitteds there are.

Believe it or not, it's (e). Seems he hates Kant almost as much as he hates sex for non-procreative purposes.

**********

UPDATE: It's (f).

  • Hmm, Santorum should have stuck with e, as Kant may well have been totally wrong about the nature of mathematics.
