February 13, 2011: Arcade Fire's The Suburbs wins Album of the Year at the Grammys
Arcade Fire is an indie rock band based in Montreal. Their success has been big news for us Canadians (or Canadian-American dual citizens, in my case). Not only did they win the Grammy for Album of the Year for The Suburbs in 2011, but they also won the Juno for Album of the Year. You may have to follow the link to figure out what that means, but I'll let you do that.
In Canada, it's okay to recognize your own artists as long as the Americans tell you it's okay.
