What is moronic in Santorum position? This is the position of all major religions of the World. So, unless you call Christianity, Islam, and Judaism bigots and morons... But then, you become a bigot and a moron, by definition.

It's moronic because he compares the love between two gay men or women to the love between, say, a man and his mother-in-law. If you think they're the same, you're a moron and a bigot.
And this is not necessarily the position of all major religions. There are many Christians, for example, who don't agree with it. And, last time I checked, there were gay Jews and Muslims as well.
As for your last point, it is bigoted and moronic to call the KKK racist? Then it isn't to call out Santorum, just as it isn't to call out, say, anti-gay Christians generally.
