That's the percentage of people who approve of the the job our new president is doing. That number is down from 68% which reflects a loss of conservative Republican support only (the president's numbers are up with everyone else). As Steve Benen says, "if Republicans were watching these numbers, hoping to see a decline they could exploit in the wake of the stimulus debate, they're probably disappointed right now." Yes, disappointed. But will this revelation -- that only those who would never support Obama anyway are driving his overall numbers down -- stop them from claiming Obama's numbers are tanking, not a chance.
