I posted yesterday about the excellent HuffPo article about phallocentric masculinity in politics and one of the points was the feminization of Obama. Calling a professional reporter "sweetie"? Chalk one up for Obama's masculinity!

Update: From WXYZ -- "Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama has apologized to WXYZ reporter Peggy Agar for calling her "sweetie" during a campaign stop Wednesday in Sterling Heights." -- MJWS
