Ron Paul raises cash in a flash
By Libby Spencer
This is just incredible. Whatever you think about the candidate and his supporters, they can't all be nutcakes and internet trolls. Clearly they include determined and creative individuals. One such supporter came up with an idea to raise $10 million in 24 hours and it's going very well.
I just posted this at Newhoggers and the total was up to $5,374,748.76. In the three minutes it took me to rewrite the post it went up again to $5,442,308.74. It's pretty impressive and fun to watch. The ticker is moving almost as fast as that clock that tracks the cost of the war.
Anybody who thinks Paul doesn't stand a chance in this race might want to think again.

Paul tracks his donations in real time on his web site. The clock started ticking at midnight when current donations were listed at $2,773,017.02. At the time of this posting — eight hours into the 24 hour effort — he had raised more than $1 million for a total of $3,805,615. In the time it took to write this post, he raised more than $30,000. The campaign has set a $12 million fundraising goal for the fourth quarter, which ends Dec. 31.
