FWIW, I was a racist a**hole too in my late teens, and dropped that way of thinking completely while in college. Which I don't think is that uncommon. So loathe as I am to say anything in support of Sen Allen, I can't really throw stones at him for this.

Fair enough, AT, but this is only one moment in a long history or patterns of overt support for racism (which essentially means "racism"), often of violent racism. The pattern has continued well into his adult life, as far as the recent rally.
