Amplifier: "Matmos" and "The Octopus"
By Michael J.W. Stickings
Last night I wrote about the British prog band Amplifier and their outstanding 2013 album, Echo Street.
Well, let's get right back to it. Here's the video for "Matmos," the opening track off Echo Street (and one of the album's best songs), and then a live version of the title track from their 2011 masterpiece, The Octopus.
Enjoy!

Great tunes, great band. Thanks for sharing. I feel that these days, we're living in a second golden age of prog. It may not be as mega-platinum as it was back in the 1970s. But that's probably a good thing for the genre. The performers are likely to follow their own muse, rather than aiming for the charts.
