Why are Republicans so angry with President Obama?
By Michael J.W. Stickings
Oh CNN, you really do have unintentionally hilarious headlines sometimes in your quest to be a serious news organization that people should pay attention to:
As opposed to... what? Not waging war on him? Haven't Republicans been doing that all along? How is next year going to be any different? This is the disloyal opposition that has pursued obstructionism as a way to block him at every turn. They hate him, and they're not about to work constructively with him.
Now, why are so very angry now? Or even more angry, we are led to believe, than before? Let's go multiple choice...
Republicans are angry with President Obama because:
(a) He has all the leverage in the "fiscal cliff" negotiations.
(b) "They are losing the battle over higher taxes on the wealthy."
(c) He just stunned them by winning re-election even though all their delusions (and Romney's internal polling, driven by delusions) were telling them they'd win.
(d) He's really popular and all the cool people like him.
(e) He's black.
(f) They're still convinced he's a Kenyan-Indonesian interloper with a radical European socialist agenda.
(g) Republicans are by nature, nurture, and whatever other forces govern human behavior a bunch of uncontrollably angry, bitter, and resentful fools.
(h) All of the above.
Use your #2 pencil...
The correct answer is (h).

There is one more reason that they won't admit: they are angry because it is their own damned fault. They had a great deal (from their perspective) last year and they chose to go for 100% rather than take 98%. And now Obama's final offer is this: nothing. Not even the fee for the gaming license.
