SNL honors shooting victims with moving "Silent Night" opening

By Michael J.W. Stickings

"You're a Rat Bastard, Charlie Brown" was the comedic high point of this past weekend's Saturday Night Live (watch in the U.S. here, Canada here, elsewhere I'm not sure) but it was the opening that was truly moving, a children's choir singing "Silent Night." I'm not a religious man, but there was no better way for the show to honor the victims of the Sandy Hook massacre.

Thankfully, it's up at YouTube. (If it gets taken down, which would be a stupid move by NBC, you can watch it in the U.S. here and Canada here.)

If you missed it, it's really worth watching. Or just watch it again.
