Orrin Hatch appears safe in Utah Senate primary

In case you were worried that venerable Senator Orrin Hatch (R-UT) might go down to defeat in a Republican primary like his long-time Senate colleague Dick Lugar, fear no more.

According to Political Wire, a Deseret/KSL poll finds that Hatch leads his challenger Dan Liljenquist (R) by a 60 to 32 percent margin.

Just when you think these guys have totally lost it, they pull themselves back from the brink. I hate it when that happens.

The primary is tomorrow.
