Karl Rove points out the obvious: Herman Cain is not up to the job

I know I shouldn't be surprised at the stupidity of some of the candidates the GOP has offered up for the presidential nomination. I really should know better. Still, Herman Cain is such a clown. And although he has done relatively well in recent polls, he is the kind of candidate who makes serious Republicans wince. His existence on the stage screams out that the Republican Party is not serious about what it will require to take the White House.

Once again, Karl Rove has had to step up to try to get the conversation back on a sane footing, or as sane as these guys can get.

And to be clear, it's not that Karl Rove isn't evil. He is. It's simply that he has proven he knows what it takes to win the big job.

This really has been the most entertaining sideshow of the Republican nomination process: the idiot of the day pops up, the polling numbers spike, and the GOP establishment runs around trying to push the boob in question overboard.

I'm note sure what it says about Republicans that they get excited about people like Trump, Bachmann, and Cain, but it's nothing good.

Here's Rove's attempt to define Cain as the joke he so surely is:
