You still there, Rush?
Dear Leader Rush propagandizes that "America is hanging by a thread," that "our freedom has been assaulted." Apparently, to Limbaugh, freedom means living in a country where tens of millions of people get screwed over, unable to access adequate health care.
"This is the kind of change that people did not think they were going to get when they voted for Barack Obama," he added. Actually, they did -- Obama clobbered McCain in '08 and, once people understand what's actually in the health-care bill, the elements of this change are extremely popular. (As well, contrary to the Republican spin, it's not a socialist takeover but market-oriented reform designed to enhance choice, as well as to being more people into the system. It's more or less what Republicans themselves used to advocate.)
And yet, I wonder why Rush cares anymore. Isn't he moving to Costa Rica (where they just happen to have universal health care)?
