As far as the administration's approach, which is basically wait-and-see, I think it's the right one. I can't see how throwing America's weight behind the protesters would help. If anything, it would make things worse and delegitimize the movement. A movement, by the way, that is doing just fine without our interference. As an Obama aide said, "this isn't about us" (no matter how much William Kristol would like it to be).
