The Reaction in Review (Nov. 23, 2008)
A weekend's Reactions that deserve a second look:
Sunday
By Libby Spencer: "Bush gets loaded in Lima" -- Libby wraps it in words and pics, "The sobering thought really is to consider we still have two months to endure of this presidency and the man isn't even bothering to hide that he's sailing three sheets to the wind half of the time."
By Capt. Fogg: "We used to pray for them, but it's all over now" -- Fogg exposes the Religious Right's apparently emerging biases, via their current discussions regarding the new Treasury Secretary, Tim Geithner.
By Carl: "Johnny, we hardly knew ye" -- Carl's shares his very poignant memories as a five year old, of the assassination of John F. Kennedy.
Saturday
By J. Thomas Duffy: "Remembering THE GAME ... Harvard Beats Yale 29-29" -- Duffy's great writing leads us through THE GAME, on its 40th anniversary (interesting pics and bonus riffs included).
By Mustang Bobby: "November 22, 1963" -- In a beautiful piece, Bobby recalls what it was like for him as a sixth grader in Toledo when the words, "Kennedy's dead" came.
