No basement here
By Mustang Bobby
Sarah Palin says it's all the bloggers' fault:
Just to be clear, I live in South Florida -- where nobody has a basement -- and my parents live in Ohio. I leave it to others to decide if I was "just talkin' garbage." I actually thought that most -- not all, mind you, but most -- of the liberal blogosphere focused on Ms. Palin's breathtaking lack of qualifications to be the vice president and how that reflected on the judgment of John McCain. Some even went so far as to point out and condemn sexism and misogyny when it was directed at her.
But she's entitled to whatever rationalization she can come up with for why the ticket lost... and continue with her tour of shameless self-promotion. The Bush administration obviously hasn't taken away the right to make a fool of oneself.

Ms. Palin directed most of her media criticism at liberal bloggers, whom she twice called, "those bloggers in their parents' basement just talkin' garbage."

Inventing characterizations is an old tradition, but she sure has made use of it. I also live in south Florida. I'm old enough to be her father and if something like her lived in my basement I'd call the exterminator.
She's always got an excuse, doesn't she?

I loved the one where she mentions bloggers blogging in their pjs (in their parents' basement, natch). I for one blog in the nude, and so am not allowed in my parents basement. Not really, but sounds good, eh?
I, for one, love Maddow's response
