Insane McCain

By Capt. Fogg

If you've ever been to a turkey farm, you will have seen how one lone animal will begin gobbling and the rest will follow suit until the whole flock begins to sound like the American news media commenting on an election.

"Spread the wealth" seems to be the latest gobble ever since John McCain, in his desperation, attempted to conflate the Obama tax policy, which hardly differs from what we've had since the beginning of income taxes in America, with socialism. It's not much more of an idiotic redefinition than is typical of the 2008 campaign rhetoric which has it that a hundred year occupation of a foreign country is a "victory" and accomplishing the goal of regime change and democracy is "surrender." Indeed the trickle down theory is little more than a scenario in which people the government helps to get rich then redistribute a small part of it by spending.

In St. Charles Missouri this weekend, John McCain attempted to show the show me state that lifting some of the burden from the struggling classes is Socialism. Senator Martinez from Florida compared Obama's tax plan to that of Fidel Castro and the chorus of boos from their gobbling audiences is not directed at the dishonest and sometimes demented charges or the turkeys who make them, but at anyone outside the circle of the tribe by virtue of sanity, education, honesty or intelligence: particularly intelligence. The is no idea too stupid, too false, to demented that the tribe will not dance around the fire and scream "kill him!"

It there any charge quite as incredible as insisting that presidents like Dwight Eisenhower and Ronald Reagan must have been socialists who wanted to redistribute the wealth by not giving the kind of tax breaks to the top 5% that George Bush did and that John McCain wants to continue and extend? We have never had a bigger and bigger spending government than we have now and McCain has no plan to change that that could pass a second grade arithmetic teacher's scrutiny. He has hot button topics like earmarks, and socialism and spreading the wealth, but the rest is only "trust me my friends":

"Our opponent's plan is just more big government, and John and I think that that is the problem, not the solution," said the gobbler in the glasses "Instead of taking your hard-earned money and spreading your wealth, we want to spread opportunity so people like you and Joe the plumber can create new wealth."

Of course, it's not more big government by any measure. It's a return to the time before George Bush's borrow, bloat, and spend policies.

What's the Palin plan? Give it to the rich and let it trickle down. Gobble, gobble, gobble. What's the plan? borrow and spend and put the burden of all that debt on people like you and me and Joe the Plumber and our children and grandchildren, and how do we sell it? We lie about palling around with terrorists, we call Obama an elitist Arab Muslim Terrorist, who conspires with Vietnam War protesters, who is a Chicago Machine politician with no experience, whose house was paid for by gangsters, who reads books by terrorists and whose education was paid for by Pakistani Fundamentalists and who isn't even an American. Did I mention that he's black?

At this point and regardless of who wins, I'm ashamed to be part of this. If Obama wins, the country has been so damaged already and will be filled with a large minority who think he's the devil, the future is so dim my old eyes can't see anything but gloom.

  • John McCain is a sad, sick and angry politician whose sense of entitlement to the office he seeks has driven to approve one of the most dishonorable campaigns I've witnessed in my lifetime. See my blog for a series of articles which outline why this alleged war hero is unfit to be President.

  • John McCain has many karmic lessons to learn and he really could use a good lesson on speaking. Half of the words he uses are totally disempowering and slave words. --Joe

  • Thats rich johnrj08 try looking at some of the comments that are being said bout the McCain's and the Palin's. Get a grip, best be thinking about terrorism instead. Joe Biden said it best that they will test the new President and we sure enough will be doomed then, because Obama in his own right is a radicalist. DO YOUR HOME WORK! YOU WILL BE CRYING WHEN IT HITS AND WONDER WHAT HAPPENED WHEN HE FALLS ON HIS FACE AND SIDES WITH THE TERRORIST! AND WE HAVE EVERYONE LIKE YOU THAT VOTED FOR HIM, JUST A SHAME THE REST OF US HAVE TO SUFFER!!!!!!!!!

  • It's interesting to note how the blacks are lining up in support of Obama just because he might become the first black to sleep in the White House. First there was Oprah, now it's Colin Powell. I'm not worried about Oprah, but, an ex general; now thats something to worry about. Now that Obama almost has the keys he is finding the resources he will need to pull off a take over of this countries military and then a military dictatorship. It's anarchy in it's worst form. Once he has the military under his absolute control (not just as commander in chief, but physical control) he will then turn over this country to Islamic militants. You can bet that taxes will be the last thing on your mind as you LOOSE YOUR HEAD!!

  • The last two posters express viewpoints in which a dangerous, vocal minority of conservatives continue to scream outright racist and bigotist conspiracy theories against Obama. I find it amazing that if these people even believe their own lies that they could have the mental capacity to type out their hateful remarks, much less tie their shoes. McCain and Palin continue to give this dangerous minority credibility by questioning Obama's past and linking him to the so-called "terrorist" Ayers.

  • yes john, I do have the mental capacity to type AND tie my shoes. I would also suggest to you that instead of considering these comments as racist remarks or conspiracy theoeries, you might want to pull your head out of the sand (or wherever else it might be) and consider for a moment that this could actually happen. Our country has survived for 232yrs under the same form of government that it was established under and no other government throughout history can make that claim. The person or organization that undermines and destroys the US will become the most powerful entity in the world. This is a real threat to our way of life. Obama may not be the "brains" behind this but he is surely the catalyst. I don't give a rat's ass if he is black or purple - it's his socialist philosophy and agenda thats so bothersome.

  • You're a joke. Obama's tax plan is not socialist, it is more akin to the tax plan before the Bush tax cuts. If you want to whine about socialism, you better not drive (road construction is financed by the government), have attended or send your children to public school, or send mail using our postal service, because all of these are horrible socialist programs funded by our government. You did not raise any other points besides "his socialist philosophy is a threat to our way of life" and "he will turn our country over to islamic militants" and just keep saying that the world will end when Obama becomes president. Let me guess, you believe that the rapture will happen soon as well. You are a loon.

  • It's funny how "anonynmous" notices how black support black, but forgets the millions of intelligent white people, too. As well as the intelligence Colin Powell elucidated on Meet the Press, but Anonymous probably watched the TV move without listening like Palin... Only if the world were as simple as Anonymous wants it. Well, maybe Mr. Anonymous actually does see the world that way, black and white. If only we were all simpletons like Anonymous, maybe the world would speed faster towards idiocracy, which would be his utopia.

  • I tried to read Anonymous' comments, but all I kept thinking was "gobble, gobble, gobble"...

Does anyone else wonder what it would take for some people to realize that they're vehemently fighting for four more years of getting royally screwed over? That the rich Republican elites are laughing at how easy it was to take your money and make you eat shit? I mean, really... how bad does it have to get?

  • The truth shall set you free B.O. Now he wants sympathy for his grandma he threw under the bus this summer - she still hasnt recovered. As more is learned about Rezko, Ayers, and ACORN - the more people will jump off the socialist's band wagon. Don't vote yet. Too many surprises yet to come. You cant go back on election day and ask for it back. Obama=chavez=castro=ayers=acorn=marx

  • I go away for a few days and this is the kind of shit I find when I get home? I'd want to be anonymous too, if I were you.

Rezco, Ayers - the more you learn the more you learn it's bullshit and it's bullshit whether or not somebody said mean things about McCain's pandering and Palin's witchdoctor.

This "socialism" crap isn't fit to be flung by caged monkeys, but it seems to be the best you dishonest, dimwitted, self-pitying creeps can come up with. McCain has serious connections with terrorism, brutal dictators, crooks and liars than you would admit if by some miracle you were informed about it.

I hope you choke on your own bile.

  • Who said he wants sympathy for his grandmother? She is sick, therefore he is leaving the trail, when he took time of in Aug. to spend with her, he got criticized for that... not that she has turn for the worst, you say he wants sympathy---- It's a shame that some people are just heart less--- and to say he threw her under the bus is just absurd.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 9:42 AM

  • Heartless and headless. Yes, it's absurd and also mean, dishonest and designed to disrupt democracy. We're dealing with a form of terrorism here - designed to make you afraid of doing the right thing; making the intelligent decision.

  • I began this election season as a McCain supporter, but his pathetic and unethical campaign has turned me off of him. I'm voting for Obama. I don't agree with his policies, but he has the superior mind and demeanor and he appears more competent. I also think he is collaborative and will govern toward the center even though his political beliefs are probably farther to the left than mine.
