Kennedy at the Convention
By Michael J.W. Stickings
In case you missed it, here's Ted Kennedy making a surprise -- and stirring -- appearance, and speech, at the Democratic Convention.
Simply put, the man's a fighter, and, throughout his long and distinguished career, he's fought for a better America -- for health care, for women's rights, for civil rights, for the poor, for a good and decent society.
"I have come here tonight," he told the Convention, "to stand with you to change America, to restore its future, to rise to our best ideals, and to elect Barack Obama president of the United States."
