Scratching backs and raising money

The NYT today breaks the McCain Rule and reports on the Republican nominee's penchant for helping out fat cats in return for campaign cash. The only problem, the story will die a black-and-white death and never reach the lips of a Matthews or a Russert. You see, mavericks don't quid pro quo and, more importantly, Obama's got an angry preacher and Hillary's got a horny husband.
