Just another day in the life and death of Iraq LXXV
By Michael J.W. Stickings
Remember, as you follow the U.S. presidential races, that there's still a bloody war going on in Iraq: "At least 33 people have been killed in a car bomb attack in the Iraqi town of Balad, the Iraqi police force has said. About 45 people were also injured in the incident, police officials said."
Meanwhile: "The US military has admitted accidentally killing nine Iraqi civilians, including a child, during raids south of Baghdad." But the death toll may have been higher: "Witnesses say 20 people were killed in an US air strike in the area."
And all for what?
