Aw, hell!

Damn you Florida! I wanted Mitt Romney to win, now you appear to have made John McCain the nearly inevitable GOP nominee and he's the hardest to beat. Now all you Super Tuesday Democrats, it is IMPERATIVE that you get behind Barack Obama, because he's the only Democrat still standing who has a good shot and defeating McCain in November. If Hillary Nothing-But-Ambition Clinton is the Democratic nominee, the General Election is as good as lost as well as most of our hopes of trying to undo the damage of the Dubya administration.

This is a test of the Florida Democratic primary.
The party leaders in your area, in violation of Democratic national authorities, have developed this unofficial primary to try to cut ahead of other states, in the event of an actual election.
For the next sixty seconds, you will hear a high-pitched whining tone that will let you know that your fellow Floridians just threw their votes away, followed by a collective yawn from the rest of America.
Remember, this is only a test.
*WHHI-I-I-I-I-NNNE!*
*yawn*
This has been a test of the Florida Democratic primary. If this had been an actual primary, you would have been instructed to vote one week later at one of the polling stations in your area.
This concludes this test of the Florida Democratic Primary.

I don't agree that Barack Obama is the only choice Democrats can make. He hasn't yet demonstrated the toughness necessary to weather the Republican't hate machine in November. Until he does, we need to keep our options open. Clinton has already been through the ringer ... and survived, proving that she has both the determination and intelligence to do so.

The Republicans know how to run against Hillary -- they've had that planned out for decades. Obama however will leave them scratching their heads about what to do. See how badly the Clintons have had it trying to run against him. Also, Hillary's supposed strength isn't what it seems to be. Just look how her campaign nearly imploded after her own self-inflicted wound in the Philadelphia debate. If McCain is the GOP nominee and Hillary is the Democrat, the race is as good as lost for the Democrats.

When a Republican complains it's righteous indignation, but a Democrat can only whine? Perhaps y'all will righteously indignate yourselves straight to hell after the mess you've made.
Yes, the Party shot itself in the foot with its insistence that the primaries be rigged to give the hick states a bigger share in choosing a candidate than nobody else will vote for, but the worst of the Democrats is better than the loser list the other guys have given us.
Frankly the nothing-but-ambition crap can be applied to anyone who has ever run for office, since no sane person would take it on without a great deal of ego - so what? I like Obama, but he has not been tested and all we know of him is that he gives great speeches. Leaders from the great to the grotesque have been great public speakers and likability got us George Bush over Al Gore.
Maybe it's time for some Democrats to suspect that we're just as anti-intellectual as the Republicans?
