Bolton and Marsh
John Bolton won't talk to Taylor Marsh (one of our favourite bloggers here at The Reaction). And I doubt he ever will. Like so many on the right, he evidently much prefers the sycophantic company of his own ideological kind. This is why conservatives flock to Fox News. It's a safe place to be.
Marsh, a legitimate journalist, is too unsafe for someone like Bolton. She might ask some tough questions, she might back him into a corner, she might embarrass him.
I'd love to see that interview, wouldn't you?

I might "love to see the interview", but I don't think the UN Ambassador giving press interviews is a good idea in general. I have NO problem with anyone in that job keeping their thoughts to themselves until it is time to discuss them at the UN with those whom he/she is trying to influence and collaborate with on the world stage,
In other words, Bolton is not there to inform and entertain us, or even to lead us, or to influence what WE think about policy. He is there to get something done, as an agent of the US government.
God knows we've had plenty of "foot in the mouth" blowhards from time to time in that role.
As soon as a reporter starts writing about what he she was told by the Ambassador and quoting or misquoting, interpreting or misinterpreting, that's just one more tangle to unsnarl inside the UN with those who read it (which would be everyone, I suppose).
