The cartoon controversy

Battlepanda has a good round-up of reaction to the whole Danish cartoon controversy -- see here.

I agree with my friend Angelica that the right is way off on this one, not least because of its rather simplistic worldview and susceptibility to absolutism. On the whole, neither side is fully in the right -- although, clearly, the burning of embassies does not constitute an equal and opposite reaction to the publishing of insensitive and ignorant cartoons, and should not in any way be condoned.
