On Iran's nuclear program
If you're interested in what's going on in Iran -- that is, the development of a nuclear program -- you should check out an excellent series by guest contributor Jeffrey Lewis at Wampum. Part two of the three-part series is here.

I can't tell you exactly what the solution is, but I do think we can look to history for guidance. For a great treatment of how exactly we got to this point with Iran, look to the book All the Shah's Men : An American Coup and the Roots of Middle East Terror by Stephen Kinzer. An excellent read, even if it doesn't offer any clues for a viable solution to the problem that is modern-day Iran.
