Mel Gibson and the Holocaust
According to the Times, Mel "Lethal Weapon" Gibson "has a new project under way: a nonfiction miniseries about the Holocaust".
Does anybody else see a problem with this?

Seeing as that Gibson's father is a fundamentalist Catholic and an ardent Holocaust denier, I'd have to say yes. Yes, I do see a problem with this.

A major one. Probably the Jews will be blamed for their persecution.

Maybe he'll surprise us. Maybe he wants to make up with his Jewish public.
Anyway, you see anyone in their right mind distributing a denialist Holocaust film?
Now, he might be a sneaky bastard and try a documentary about one of the very, very few rich, right-wing Jewish families who managed to cruise through the Nazi period without even having to get fake Aryan ID papers (There was a prominent publishing family who married off a daughter to an SS Colonel...). And then use this to claim that the Holocaust wasn't really that bad or, my personal favorite, that it was a Zionist plot. He'd have no trouble getting this distributed in the Middle East, aside from Israel, of course.
