This day in music - November 27, 1942: Jimi Hendrix was born

James Marshall "Jimi" Hendrix would have been 69 today. He died on September 18, 1970 at the age of 27. A few days ago, Rolling Stone magazine released its list of the Greatest Guitarists of All Time, with Hendrix on top.

Always been partial to "All Along the Watchtower."
